Our overhead line inspection vehicle, HCT 022, left Longhoughton Goods Yard and was transported to Bo’ness to begin a period on loan to the Scottish Railway Preservation Society.

323 674-2 movements

Work has been undertaken on 323 674-2 in recent months to return it to working order after head issues were discovered following the move to Longhoughton from Wooler. Minor work is still required however this loco can now move under it’s own power again. A video is available…

BLS Railtour to Blyth & Tyne

The branch line society sent 66101 and 66232 onto the Blyth and Tyne Railway, and as far as we know the first passenger train since the end of steam passed through Cambois on the way to North Blyth.

Longhoughton work day - 22/03/08

Baz and Dave moved some sleepers. Kay did some work on the MK 2 TSO. Ken did
some work on the GVB. And Network Rail popped in for quarter of an hour to
check the ECML was still where it should be. And throughout the day it
snowed.
